Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: 04/01/2026
MyLegacySpace.ai is committed to ensuring that our genealogy and memorial platform is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities.
Our Commitment
We strive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
What We Are Doing
* Semantic HTML: We use semantic HTML elements to ensure proper document structure and navigation.
* Keyboard Navigation: We aim to make all interactive elements accessible via keyboard.
* Screen Reader Support: We use ARIA attributes where appropriate to improve screen reader compatibility.
* Color Contrast: We work to maintain sufficient color contrast ratios throughout the interface.
* Responsive Design: Our platform is designed to work across a range of devices and screen sizes.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of our platform may have limitations:
* Interactive Family Tree Views: Complex visualizations such as fan charts and ancestor trees may have limited screen reader support. We are actively working to improve this.
* AI-Generated Content: Content produced by our AI features (photo restoration, research suggestions) may not always include complete alternative text descriptions.
* Third-Party Content: Some content embedded from third-party services may not meet our accessibility standards.
